Sundays at St John’s Church

WHAT HAPPENS ON SUNDAYS?

We gather every Sunday in our building. Each week has a different format and you’re welcome to join in. When you arrive you’ll receive a warm welcome.

You can learn more about our next services below including the time and date. Click on the service to find out a little bit more.

We usually sing songs together and then we listen to a talk about a theme or topic from the Bible. If it’s all age - we’ll involve the children!

On weeks with Community at the Table all ages from one of our Communities meet round the table to share food and conversation and remember Jesus with bread and wine. You can learn more about Communities by clicking here.

What about children and youth?

During our Family Communion and Sunday Worship there are groups for children and youth:

Under 5’s

This is for babies to pre-schoolers and parents are welcome to join in. We love playing and learning about Jesus through songs, stories and activities. This group includes a snack time.

5-7s

Our younger children will use games, stories, puppets and activities to learn more about Jesus and explore their journey with God looks like for them.

8-11s

This group will spend time in conversation and use games and stories to share their journey in faith with their peers and learn more about Jesus.

11+

This group heads to the shack (located in the car park) for their session as they explore faith and being Christians in today’s world.

WHAT IF I’VE NEVER BEEN TO CHURCH BEFORE?

Then you are really welcome. We would love to get to know you and help you find a community of belonging.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

What you would normally wear to meet a friend for a pint, or a coffee or whatever you’re comfortable in. Everyone is welcome and we’re relaxed here.
